Family Pictures are in...

Our new family picture
Bott Family Picture 1
Bott Family Picture 2
On December 29th, we went back to Olan Mills to have an updated family picture taken since Leslie and Chris's wedding in 2008, there are two new members of the family. Brian and I also had our family picture taken and this time it was cuter than the first ones we took on the 22nd.
Leslie, Chris, and Gabriel Small
The cousins, Iain and Gabriel. Aren't they just the cutest boys ever.
Brian and I thought that it would be fun if Leslie and Chris went to our appointment with us. We thought that the boys should have a picture together to give to their Bott grandparents and their aunts and uncle as a gift. Leslie and Chris had a family picture taken and it came out super cute.
Iain 8months old Can you see his two teeth. Aren't they cute.
On December 22nd, Brian and I took Iain in to get his 8month pictures taken. We had a family picture taken by they didn't come out good, at all, so we didn't get one that night.

Has it really been five months already

4months 2weeks and 1day with his daddy's baseball mitt and the Boston Red Sox hat his Grandma Anne gave him
4months 2weeks and 1day with his daddy's baseball mitt and ball and the Boston Red Sox hat his Grandma Anne gave him
At four months and two weeks old.
At 2.5 months.
He is 11 weeks old in this one
Again Iain is 8 days old.
He is 8 days old.
He is 5 days old in this one.
Okay, I know this is a bit early seeing as Iain will be 5 months old next Wednesday. But I can't believe how fast time has flown by. He isn't the same baby boy we brought home from the hospital in April. Iain is learning all kinds of things and doing so much more. I can't let him nap on the couch anymore because he rolls in his sleep. He is such an active little boy now and getting to be so big. I'm consistently amazed about everything he is doing. Babies just grow up too fast. Don't they know they have all eternity to be grown up.

Our pictures are in....Yeah!

So on Friday Brian and I went to Olan Mills to see if our family pictures were in...and they were. Didn't it turn out great? I'm so excited that we went and had these taken. I also wanted pictures taken of each of us with Iain. I think they ca.me out great. I didn't really like any of the pictures of Iain and I, this was the only one that came out half way decent.

A Look Back Part 6 (pictures)

Four generations of Botts. I think this is wonderful. Iain is going to grew up knowing his great-grandfather Bott.
The new family of three.
Picture taken Memorial Day week-end.
Iain is 3 1/2 weeks old here.
Big yawn. Iain is a sleepy head.
What a sweet face. Iain isn't quite a day old.
Father and son. Brian and Iain's first picture together.
I still can't believe that this sweet baby is ours.
Iain moments after he came into the world. After he was weighed. He wasn't to happy to be out on the world but his daddy and I were sure happy to have him here.
  • More about our first few days as a family and more pictures to come. Hopefully I'll be up to date before my parents come to visit.

My sister-in-law, Leslie

Leslie holding her sleeping baby boy, Gabriel.
Leslie and her husband Chris, meeting their nephew Iain, for the first time at her uncle's funeral.
Leslie at her aunt's house, holding her son and nephew.
I think it would be fun to pick someone that is important to our family and write a little about them. So here it goes...Today I'll pick Leslie. Leslie is Brian's older sister. And one of my favorite people. I haven't known her for very long but I know I can count on her for anything. I know I can call her for advice about pretty much anything. Remember those poems we all did in grade school, where we take each letter of our name and come up with a word that starts with that letter. I'm going to do that with Leslie's name. So here goes... L- loving E- energetic S- small L- laughter I- intelligent E- Easter D- delightful A- advice W- wow N- nice S- insightful M- mother A- a sweet woman L- loyal L- loved Well, I'm not sure if I did the poem thingy right, but it's my blog and I'll do it any old way I like.

We've entered Iain's photo into a baby picture contest

We thought it would be fun to enter a photo of Iain into a baby picture contest here in Colorado, to see if he could win. Well, his photo was selected to be entered into another contest. Which we think is so cool. The name of the contest is America's Most Beautiful Baby. So, who knows what could happen. If you would like to vote for him go here... http://gapc-vote.com/?p=1568310 This is the picture that we entered.

The VA cousin and The CO cousin

Last September, I found out that I was pregnant. Leslie than told me that she was also pregnant and her due date was April 10th. When I went to the doctor to confirm my pregnancy. I was told that my due date was April 17th. That's means we both got pregnant in July a week apart. But as pregnancies go, especially first pregnancies, they were both late. Gabe was born on Easter Sunday and 11 days later, my son was born. When we were out in Utah, they got to meet for the first time. Iain also got to meet his Aunt Leslie and Uncle Chris, Aunt Julie, Aunt Shiree, Uncle Eric, and the rest of the extended family. And Brian and I got to meet Gabe. And I must say Gabe is a cute baby. And I'm so glad that both babies came to our family together. They are going to be the best of friends. Once Leslie and Chris move out here to CO. That way Iain and Gabe can play together. We had Melissa take pictures of the two boys together. And than we took pictures of Kendrah and the boys. The pictures are so great. The three babies are so cute together. And I'm so glad that they will have playmates when we have family parties and reunions.

Babies every where.....

Iain also got to meet his cousin, Gabe and second cousin, Kendrah; who were also born in April. Brian and I decided that we wanted to bless Iain in Utah because most of Brian's extended family is there and I have friends there that are as close to me as family. We had a double baby blessing. Brian's cousin, Melissa, had a baby girl the same day that Iain was born, so we blessed the two babies together, in Melissa's ward in Bountiful. Though it was a rainy morning, I couldn't be prouder of Brian and the blessing that he gave our son. At the luncheon, Melissa took pictures of Iain that are just the sweetest. Here's the funny thing about Iain and Kendrah... They were born on the same day just 30 minutes apart. And they could be twins. Except Iain is alot bigger but kendrah's skin tone is darker.

Our Wedding

Brian and I were married on October 11, 2007 in the Washington DC Mormon Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Where we were sealed for time and all eternity. Our wedding day started out kinda rainy but by the time I got to the temple the rain had cleared up and we had a perfect and beautiful day. Almost all the people that we love were at the temple with us. And we know that all those that were not able to be there love and support us too. For those that could not join us at the temple, were at our ring ceremony, in Va and at our wedding reception.
